Jim Eaton

In 2003, Jim called a few friends to go on a journey in search of rest and adventure. The search party hit its mark and in the process got marked for something more. That "something more" was the call to share the bounty of their discovery and make much of the scout that lead the way. Jesus is that scout, the author and pioneer of our faith story. Jim likes the metaphor of a journey with friends, but gets downright excited about engaging in a mission with a band of brothers. He has an educational background in theology and missiology and practical experience in urban church planting, campus ministry and short-term overseas mission work. His ideal day off would be spent on the water in a sea kayak with a good friend and a good view. Jim pioneers Onramps and Outposts, a ministry that seeks to see men and families restored to God, reconciled to each other, and reconnected to the creation. He lives in the Pittsburgh area with his wife LuAnn and daughter Madeline. Jim believes that "home" is where your books are, and his roots run deep in the earthy culture of Western PA and he will always be a rabid Steeler fan.

Michael Witterman

Michael has been involved with The Outpost since it's preliminary advance, and he's excited to continue the journey with men who are exploring life and faith in the context of community.  Michael's educational training and vocational pursuits are like a Bjork video, they don't make much sense, but he's doing what he believes he should.  He has studied theology and philosophy as an undergraduate, higher education as a graduate, worked in college campus ministry, church youth and young adult ministry, and currently is a professional real estate consultant.  Michael hails from a blue-collar, pierogi eating suburb of Pittsburgh called Aliquippa, where he lives with his wife Brooke and their two boys Grant and Christian

Aaron Shust

Aaron had aspirations to be a professional beach volleyball player or surfer, but he proudly grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and wasn't that good at either sport.  Aaron sang his first solo in church when he was 4, played piano since he was 7, wrote his first song when he was 10, and picked up guitar at 14.  He studied music at Toccoa Falls College and loves to hear people worship God from the depths of their hearts.  After serving for five years as a worship leader at Perimeter Church in Atlanta, Georgia, Aaron is now humbled to serve a much larger congregation as a musician with a national touring schedule.  Aaron's debut release, Anything Worth Saying, sold over 140,000 copies in the last year while "My Savior, My God" was downloaded over 85,000 times on iTunes and maintained the #1 spot on the Web site's "Inspirational" Chart for more than three months. With more radio airplay than any other song in 2006, "My Savior, My God" topped several radio charts and was named the #1 Song of the Year across multiple formats.  Even as everything was changing due to his overnight success, Aaron set to work on his anticipated sophomore release, Whispered and Shouted. Though the songwriting process was sometimes challenging amid a whirlwind of media interviews, tour dates, and meet-and-greets, Aaron remained focused on writing songs that lead people to worship Christ more deeply.  Aaron lives in the Atlanta GA area with his wife Sarah and their sons Daniel and Nicholas.
